Episode 1 - Preston Castle

Episode Summary: The team heads to Ione, CA to investigate reports of paranormal activity at Preston Castle. Opened in 1894, Preston Castle was the home of Preston School of Industry - a reform school for troubled boys. The Ghost Adventures Team interviews witnesses from a paranormal group that has had many troubling experiences in the abandoned castle. Several unsolved murders are believed to be the source of the paranormal activity.

   + Smelled by two investigators near each other.
   - May have a natural explanation.

   + Heard on DVD.
   - Sound is consistent with an equipment anomaly.

   + A very faint figure is seen upon playback.
   + Figure's movement is consistent with moving down the hallway away from the camera.
   + Replayed several times.
   + Appears around the same time as electromagnetic pump runs out of power (0:26:58)
   - Could be a residual image from a previous recording or bled over from other equipment. Not sure if this is possible or not.
   - The figure is so faint it is hard to investigate further.

   + Happens around the time that the faint figure is captured on the static vision camera.
   + Figure may have used the power to appear.
   - Technology may be unclear to the viewer.
   - Battery may have died for non-paranormal reasons.

   + Sound is not consistent with normal sounds heard at night.
   + Happens in quick succession to the faint hallway figure and the electromagnetic pump failure.

   - Sound resembles a bird or other animal screeching.

0:27:47 - Electromagnetic detection device alarms down the same hallway as the figure and the other sounds.
   + Happens in quick succession to the hallway figure, electromagnetic pump failure and other sounds.
   - Earlier the cast implies that the electromagnetic pump may be drained by the spirit/activity in the area and yet does not seem to consider the possibility that the pump is setting off the sensor.
   + The Pump and the sensor are not really in close proximity to each other so why would they be interacting with each other.
